The thing is, South Park is available only on cable or digital TV and the censorship can do jack. The Simpsons, Futurama or King of the Hill were all on public TV and our beloved KRRiTV (equivalent of american FCC) banned those shows. Actually not as much as banned as showed its contempt, but none of our channels are brave enough to get in trouble for some cartoon. Unfortunately.

hmmm I doubt that The Simpsons is banned in polish TV... Until recently it was aired on FoxKids. I've always thought that FoxKids is a polish chanell... I heard very often "prepared for FoxKids", furthermore the most of cartoons was dubbed.

On Fox Kids there were missing scenes in some episodes. For example in epsiode when Lisa joined the mensa club in springfield there was deleted the entire plot of Homer making porno pictures of himself for Marge. In other episode there was missing scene when Milhouse was kicking Bart in his crotch when he was wearing a crotch pad (i'm not sure is it called like that).

Yeah, the missing scenes were a pain in the arse/butt/rear end... For example the scene when Homer and Grndskpr Willie fight over the Willies lard, and Homer is strangled with... pipe/hose and his eye pops out... This scene was cut, but the earlier scene when he almost sucked his eye out with this pump wasn't... Wierd ain't it?
I still tihnk that TVN should buyed the rights to show The Simpsons... even when they emmited it at about 23-00 but it'll be better then normal hours with scenes cutout. And ofc Subtitles! no Lectors!
Nie wiem kto to wymyślił ale z tego co czytałem to Kevin sam w domu/Nowym Jorku (Home Alone) też jest niby zbanowany a puszczają go 2-3 do roku (głównie na święta ).
well,i have to say we are a strane nation with our strange quirks.
unfortunately the best shows are always somehow considered too rude or obscene for a normal polish viewer... that's why i love internet and cheaper flights to other countries since we joined the eu.
tv4 used to have family guy and futurama(with it's strange polish translation -fry's adventures in space),but i'm not certain if they show it any more,as i stopped watching polish television quite a while ago. i doubt that american dad ever made it that far.
but there's always a small chance,that our small prayers will be heard and the miracle granted
